Interim Budget: Govt to set up debt management office

Finance Minister P. Chidambaram said on Monday he would propose setting up a non-statuory public debt management office that could start from fiscal 2014/15. Chidambaram was presenting an Interim Budget to tide public finances over until a new government is formed after elections due by May.
