Price Shock
The new Maruti Baleno facelift has entered the Indian market with a starting price of ₹6.10 lakh. With a claimed mileage of up to 34 km, the hatchback is clearly targeting buyers who want low running costs without giving up on features.

Engine Switch
The biggest mechanical change is under the bonnet. The new Baleno gets a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine producing 83hp and 112Nm of torque. Buyers also get a CNG option, giving the popular hatchback another weapon for mileage-focused customers.

Mileage Battle
Maruti is putting fuel efficiency front and centre. The manual petrol version is claimed to deliver 23.80 km/l, while the AMT version returns 24.77 km/l. The Baleno CNG goes even further, with a claimed mileage of 33.61 km/kg.

Variant Game
The new Baleno is offered across four variants: Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. That spread means buyers can choose how far they want to climb the feature ladder, with the top-end versions bringing more technology and convenience features.

Feature Rush
The Baleno packs a surprisingly long list of equipment, including six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability programme and hill-hold control. The higher variants add features such as a 360-degree camera, while safety remains a major part of the package.

Premium Touch
Maruti has also pushed the Baleno towards a more premium cabin experience. Depending on the variant, buyers get a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, fabric upholstery, 15-inch alloy wheels, halogen projector headlamps and LED tail lamps, along with practical cabin upgrades.
