Inside Abhay Deol's Goa home: A glass house built to disappear into the forest

Abhay said his brief to architects was to restrict using windows entirely — he wanted only glass sliding doors, creating the constant impression of being surrounded by forest on every side.

His large living room, which he admitted might be a little too large in hindsight, opens up to views of his front garden and the forest beyond — the exact spot where he hosts his guests.

Abhay said he fell in love with the property the moment he saw it, and his search for a home ended right there. He was already familiar with the neighbourhood, having visited it for two decades.

The property also features a swimming pool and follows a deliberately minimal design philosophy — every element chosen to let nature, not decor, take centre stage.

Abhay spoke about the unique furniture pieces he personally picked out, while also pointing out the home's granite and wood flooring — details that ground the glass structure in warmth.

Later, Abhay took fans inside his kitchen, revealing that he's beginning to enjoy cooking for friends — a quieter, more personal side of the actor known for redefining Hindi cinema.
