PK box office collections cross Rs 575 cr worldwide, beat Dhoom 3 record

Aamir Khan starrer movie PK has collected over Rs 575 crore worldwide in three weeks, breaking Dhoom 3 record of Rs 540 crore, according to boxofficeindia.com

The movie looks set to scale the Rs 600 crore mark soon. It has earned Rs 424 crore in India and Rs 153 crore worldwide.
 
The film has set benchmarks in every major Indian market but in Overseas it will fall short in two of the biggest markets United Kingdom and The Gulf, reports boxofficeindia.com. 

Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films, in association with Disney India, released 'PK' on December 19.

Featuring Khan as an alien, the film takes a hard hitting swipe at organised religion, god and godmen, "stirring thought and discussion".

The film also stars Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjay Dutt.
