Nothing says it will accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin payments in select markets for ear (1) black edition

Nothing has announced on Wednesday a new all-black edition of the ear (1) truly wireless earbuds. The company also announced that the ear (1) production is now carbon neutral. Also, Nothing announced that it will be accepting cryptocurrency payments in select countries through its website starting later this month.

India is not included in the list of countries where the company will be accepting cryptocurrency payments. The countries where Nothing will accept cryptocurrency payments include the UK, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, the US, Canada, and Japan.

The Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) wireless earbuds retail for $99 (approx. Rs. 7,500) for both the white and black edition. The Nothing ear (1) black edition wireless earbuds will go on sale on Flipkart in India for the first time on 13 December. The Nothing ear (1) black edition is priced at Rs. 6,999.

London-based Nothing was founded by Carl Pei and is backed by a number of Indian investors, including film producer Karan Johar, cricketer Yuvraj Singh and Cred founder Kunal Shah.

The company confirmed that they have shipped 2,20,000 units of the ear (1) till now— these went on sale in August this year.

The Nothing ear (1) sports an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance, Qi wireless charging support, 11.6 dynamic drivers, and ANC feature. The earbuds provide a battery life of 5.7 hours and a total playtime of 34 hours with the case. With ANC turned on, the TWS earbuds are claimed to offer 24 hours of backup. The earphones have gesture support and transparency mode

The first 100 units of the ear (1) black edition will be individually engraved with the numbers 1 to 100. These will be made available exclusively through the Nothing Kiosk, a new limited installation that will operate from 11:00-19:00 GMT starting from December 4 at Seven Dials, Covent Garden in London. Stocks will be limited and available on a first come first serve basis.
