Reliance Industries-backed Jio Platforms is planning to launch its initial public offering on October 21, according to a Reuters report. The IPO is expected to raise around $3.8 billion, potentially making it the biggest listing in India to date. Jio Platforms shares are expected to be listed on October 28. The IPO is set to open just a day after Dussehra and could mark a major milestone for India’s capital markets. According to the report, proceeds from the offering will largely be used to repay debt owed by Reliance Industries’ telecom division. The proposed listing will put Jio Platforms firmly in focus among investors.
