Karnataka Cabinet Expansion Stalled: CM DK Shivakumar In Delhi As 21 Berths Remain Vacant

Nearly two months after DK Shivakumar assumed office as Karnataka Chief Minister, the state cabinet expansion remains caught in limbo. Out of a maximum of 34 sanctioned ministerial berths, only 13 have been filled so far, leaving 21 crucial portfolios including Education, Agriculture, Social Welfare, and Women & Child Development unassigned and directly under the Chief Minister. CM Shivakumar is currently on his third visit to New Delhi to consult with Congress high command leaders. However, high-level talks and final cabinet appointments continue to face delays amid ongoing national protests and political deadlocks over the NEET paper leak issue.
