In an exclusive conversation with India Today's Loveena Tandon on the sidelines of the "Scaling the Green Transition" event at the London School of Economics, former 15th Finance Commission Chairman N. K. Singh said global climate action cannot be held back by the policy decisions of any one country. Commenting on the US stepping back from parts of its climate commitments, Singh called for a "coalition of the willing" to sustain momentum on climate action. He also said India is increasingly seen as a leader of the Global South, driven by its strong economic growth, macroeconomic stability, reform agenda, and commitment to sustainable development.
