
Delhi's peak power demand hit an all-time high of 7,717 MW on Tuesday afternoon amid intense summer heat.
Real-time data from state load dispatch centre (SLDC) saw the Capital's peak demand reached 7,717 MW at 3.33 pm, breaking all previous records. The last all-time high peak power demand recorded was at 7,695 MW on June 29, 2022.

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) successfully met the peak power demand of 2,225 MW in its distribution area of North Delhi without any outages and network hindrances, said a spokesperson of the discom.
