Railway shares such as IRCTC rose 1% to Rs 630.35, Titagarh Rail gained 2% to Rs 840, Ircon International inched up 1.5% to Rs 166.95 and RVNL rose 1% to Rs 345.60.

RailTel shares rose 3.08% to Rs 338 on BSE in the current session. Market cap of the firm stood at Rs 10,706 crore.
RailTel stock has fallen 12.70 per cent in a year and lost 13% in six months.
The Navratna PSU's shares ended at Rs 374.95 on Thursday. Market cap of the firm stood at Rs 12,033 crore.
RailTel shares jumped 8.11 per cent to trade at Rs 385.45 compared to a previous close of Rs 356.55, while the heavyweight financing railway arm IRFC rose 8.65 per cent to Rs 131.95.
The Navratna PSU's shares ended 1.24% lower at Rs 331.70 on Tuesday. Market cap of the firm stood at Rs 10,645 crore.
Just days prior, on December 12, RailTel clinched a Rs 35.44 crore deal from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.
The contract entails the selection of a System Integrator (SI) for the design, development, and implementation of a Regional Information System for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
RailTel Corporation of India Ltd, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has secured fresh work orders from the state governments of Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, extending its order inflow into November.
