the box office, with the movie collecting around 9.75-10 crore nett.

Satyagraha had a fair first day opening at the box office, with the movie collecting around 9.75-10 crore nett.
The movie managed to do a good business in the Delhi/NCR, Rajasthan and Gujarat and is expecting a good show on Saturday too. Its performance on Saturday would decide whether it can garner decent weekend figures or not.
Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor, the movie is about a common man and highlights his aggression, struggle and demand for justice. The film also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Arjun Rampal and Amrita Rao.
According to Boxofficeindia.com, collections of Satyagrah are in the same range as Raajneeti which was a similar film by the same director but was released 3 years back with 1000 screens less than Satyagraha. Raajneeti had collected 10 crore nett plus on day one.
