Equitas Small Finance Bank shares witnessed a sharp sell-off on October 29, the day PN Vasudevan announced his resignation, hitting the 20 per cent lower circuit. The stock remained under pressure in the subsequent trading session, extending its decline.

The circumstances surrounding Vasudevan's exit also came under scrutiny after his resignation letter highlighted concerns over a potential conflict of interest involving an NBFC co-promoted by his daughter, which has received a licence from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
