At the Reliance Annual General Meeting 2025, Mukesh Ambani spotlighted five landmark achievements of Jio that have transformed India’s digital journey. From making voice calls free across the country to popularising mobile video consumption and digital payments, Jio has reshaped everyday life for millions. Ambani also highlighted Jio’s role in laying the foundation for India’s Digital Public Infrastructure, enabling Aadhaar, UPI, Jan Dhan and Direct Bank Transfers, as well as empowering a confident new generation. He credited Jio with fuelling India’s thriving start-up ecosystem, now the third largest in the world with more than 100 unicorns, and underscored the company’s rapid nationwide 5G rollout, hailed as the fastest in the world. According to Ambani, this rollout has set the stage for India’s AI revolution, reinforcing Jio’s position as a global digital powerhouse.
