Over 2,000 resident doctors went on an indefinite strike in the national capital on Monday over several issues, including adequate life saving and generic drugs.

However, emergency services will remain uninterrupted and only private wards and OPD services would be affected.

Doctors from 20 hospitals in the national capital, including Safdarjung Hospital, Lady Hardinge Medical College, Maulana Azad Medical College and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital have joined the strike.
