Apple iPhone 5 to make India entry on October 26?

If rumours are to be believed, Apple is preparing to launch iPhone 5 in India on October 26, the last Friday of the month. BGR India says multiple sources have confirmed the news.

In the past Apple has made the iPhone available through its carrier partners Airtel, Vodafone and Aircel. But this time, Apple is expected to have its own distribution channel for the unlocked version of the iPhone 5.



On the pricing front, the new iPhone is expected to retail around the same price of the iPhone 4S - around Rs 44,500.

As expected, Apple has also slashed the prices of the iPhone 4 to Rs 28,500 and iPhone 4S to Rs 41,500 for the 8 GB variant.
