Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3Samsung is the leading brand when you talk about foldable phones as it has the maximum number of them. To stay atop the category, the South Korean brand needs to maintain that number, which means more frequent launches of foldable devices. With that in mind, Samsung may be planning to launch the next-generation Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip not just in international markets but also in India. Accompanying them could be the Galaxy Watch 5.
According to a report by 91Mobiles, the battery models, which were previously spotted on the website of the global regulator, have cropped up on the website of the Bureau of Indian Standards, otherwise known as BIS. There is a screengrab of the listings on the website that shows battery models of both upcoming foldable phones and the smartwatch, which are reportedly in the pipeline for launch later this year.
These models are EB-BF936ABY and EB-BF937ABY for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, EB-BF721ABY, EB-BF722ABY, and EB-BF723ABY for the Galaxy Z Flip 4, and EB-BR910ABY, EB-BR925ABY, and EB-BR900ABY for the Galaxy Watch 5.

Typically, when an electronic product, such as a smartphone or a smartwatch, is set for launch, it has to obtain necessary certificates and permissions from the regulatory body of the country it is coming to. India's BIS is that body that gives the product a nod, implying that the device is now ready to hit the market. The listing of Samsung's upcoming foldable phones and the smartwatch on BIS, thus, means the same: all three products are headed to India and their launch may take place anytime soon.
The listings on the website of BIS, however, do not give away anything else. That means while we know that the launch of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Watch 5 is imminent, their specifications - and obviously, exact launch date - are not mentioned. That is why we are going to latch on to what the rumour mill has been saying.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 may come with a better design, but a notable upgrade could be the cameras, which still would use a 108-megapixel main sensor and a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor. The Galaxy Z Flip 4, on the other hand, may come with a better hinge design, and better water and dust resistance. Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Watch 5 could feature bigger batteries than the existing model but still, come in the same 40mm and 44mm sizes. That is all we know for now, but considering Samsung is preparing for the launch, we are likely to get more information about the three products.
