Mercedes-Benz India, the luxury carmaker, is planning to expand its network further in India and inaugurated the largest workshop by any automobile manufacturer in Mumbai towards achieving the goal.

Spread over a covered area of 100,000 sq ft, the Rs 52 crore 'Auto Hangar' is the biggest such service centre set up by any car maker in India, Mercedes-Benz India MD & CEO Peter Honegg said after inauguration.

The Auto Hangar has 54 bays capable of servicing 60 cars per day and employs 159 personnel to take care of customer requirements, he said.
