Priced at Rs 58.9 lakh, Mercedes Benz launches diesel variant of R350

Priced at at Rs 58.9 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), German luxury auto maker Mercedes Benz launched the diesel version of its premium multi-purpose vehicle R350 on Wednesday.

The new multi purpose vehicle, R350 CDI is powered by a 2,987cc diesel engine.

Mercedes-Benz India Director-Sales & Marketing Debashis Mitra, said during its launch on Wednesday: "We are sure that the diesel variant of this crossover model will be an attractive proposition for our valuable customers".

The vehicle has a four wheel drive transmission with a mileage of 11.25 km per litre, he claimed.

The four-door vehicle has a seating capacity of seven adults, while the luggage compartment is capable of accommodating between 633 and 2385 litres, it added.

Mercedes-Benz India had launched the petrol version of the R350 in 2010 and is currently priced at Rs 58.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
