The Shapoorji Pallonji Group has welcomed the RBI’s decision on Tata Sons and backed a public listing of the holding company. Shapoorji Pallonji Mistry has described the listing as a social and moral imperative, while calling for greater transparency, accountability and cooperation among stakeholders. The development comes after Tata Trusts proposed providing at least ₹25,000 crore in liquidity to the SP Group by monetising part of its stake in Tata Sons. The SP Group holds an estimated 18.37% stake in Tata Sons.
