1. Extend tax exemption to small savings depositors

I would like this Budget to extend the benefit of tax exemption to small depositors. Those who make savings deposits or fixed deposits up to Rs 1 lakh should be exempt from tax.

2. Fund transfers under govt schemes should be time-bound

Move towards making cash transfers to poor under government schemes time-bound and sustainable in the long-run.

3. Design government schemes for poor that encourage enterprise-orientation

Linked to the earlier point, design schemes for the poor that encourage them to become enterprise-oriented or entrepreneurial.
