Apple iPhone 5c 8GB to sell at Rs 33,500 after discount

Apple is all set to launch the 8GB variant of the iPhone 5c for Rs 37,500. There is Rs 4,000 cash discount which brings down the price to Rs 33,500. In addition, Apple is giving away a case worth Rs 2,000 free with the phone. Market sources maintained that this is a limited period offer, but there was no official confirmation from the company.

It is also confirmed that iPhone 5c 8GB stock has reached Indian shores but has yet to hit the market. It is expected to do so in a couple of days. The stocks will first reach Delhi and Mumbai, followed by other cities.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 5c 16GB is already retailing for Rs 36,000 in the local market. Apple is also running a buyback offer on the iPhone 5c where the company offers a discount of Rs 7,500 on the MRP of Rs 41,900 which brings down the price to Rs 34,500. This makes the iPhone 5c 16GB a better deal than the iPhone 5c 8GB.

There is speculation that Apple will start a buyback offer on the 8GB variant of the iPhone 5c as well in coming weeks that will bring down the price to Rs 30,000. Some retailers are speculating that the company will discontinue the iPhone 5c 16GB after launching the 8GB variant. There isn't any confirmation of this yet.
