Heroine collects Rs 23 cr over weekend at box office

Kareena Kapoor -starrer "Heroine" collected around Rs 25 crore in its first four days, with box office takings falling sharply on Monday.

"Heroine", which has Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda, and Shahana Goswami in other lead roles, is based on the life and times of a superstar Bollywood heroine.

In "Heroine", director Madhur Bhandarkar gives an account of the reality behind the world of glitz and glamour that our film stars inhabit.

"Heroine" had made a decent weekend debut, collecting around Rs 22.50 crore. Box office collections were strong on Friday but tapered off after that. Heroine did a good business in Mumbai and Delhi.

Meanwhile, "Barfi" continued its strong showing at the box office , collecting around Rs 15 crore in the second weekend.
