Table tennis: Seventh Google doodle on Olympics 2012

Continuing its series of doodles on London Olympics , Google homepage on Thursday displayed a doodle dedicated to the table tennis event in London Olympics.

This is the seventh doodle on the London Olympics 2012.

Doodles are the spontaneous changes that are made to the Google logo to celebrate holidays, anniversaries and the lives of famous artists, pioneers and scientists.

Google has created over 1,000 doodles for its homepages around the world.

On Thursday, world number one Zhang Jike defeated Germany's Dimitrij Ovtcharov in the men's singles to make into the Olympics final.
