Facebook unveils Skype video calling

Facebook on Wednesday launched a video calling facility whichis powered by Skype , just a few days after Google took another plunge into socialnetworking with Google Plus.

Around 750 million Facebook users will be able to make videocalls on the site.

In the redesigned Facebook video chat feature, the personwho is sent the most messages comes at the top of the list.

The Facebook feature currently does not has group chatfacility that is available on Google Plus. Facebook will also add the groupchat option.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, 27, had earlier said that the companywill launch some thing "awesome" leading to a lot of speculation about its nextoffering.

During the launch of its video chat facility, Facebook alsoprovided fresh data about its user base: 750 million users worldwide and theyare sharing 4 billion items every day via the site.
