Gmail officially includes 'undo send' feature now

Google has finally launched the "undo send" feature for Gmail, on desktop to begin with, offering users about 5 to 30 seconds to withdraw an email after clicking the 'send' button.

The users can then use the time to fix typos, or attach files that they had forgotten to attach etc, and send the mail again.

The feature has been launched after six years of testing. According to VentureBeat, Google first introduced 'Undo Send' to Gmail way back in March 2009, but it sat quietly in the Labs section of Gmail, where Google tests out new features - users have to manually switch these features on to use them.

The option, disabled by default, is available for users to activate under the 'General' tab in Gmail's settings.

Google
's mobile email app, Inbox, also has the 'Undo Send' option.
