Motorola Edge 30 Ultra with 200MP camera, Edge 30 Fusion with Snapdragon 888+ launched in India

Motorola has refreshed its premium Edge smartphone series and launched two devices - Edge 30 Ultra and Edge 30 Fusion. That former, at least on paper, looks the most attractive as it carries a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a 200-megapixel primary rear camera. The company first unveiled the device in China in August under the moniker Motorola X30 Pro. The Edge 30 Fusion, on the other hand, comes with Snapdragon 888+, which powers some older flagships like Asus ROG 5S, Vivo X70 Pro+ and iQoo 9. Motorola has revived curved displays on its Edge series with the latest smartphones.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra and Edge 30 Fusion price in India

The Edge 30 Ultra carries a price tag of Rs 59,999 for the sole 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It will be available on Flipkart, and during the upcoming Big Billion Days sale, the phone will retail for Rs 54,999. The Edge 30 Fusion, on the other hand, carries a price tag of Rs 42,999 for the same storage model. It will be available with a price cut at the Big Billion Days sale, and customers can purchase it for Rs 39,999.

Motorola has again restricted the storage option to 128GB in India. The phones will also be available on leading retail stores, including Reliance Digital.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra specifications

Both Ultra and Fusion look alike, but they are quite different from the existing Edge 30 Pro in terms of design. Both the new phones feature a curved display and flat edges. The top spine includes the Dolby Atmos branding.

The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is assured three years of Android OS updates - 13,14 and 15. It will also receive four years of security updates. It comes with a 6.67-inch Endless Edge (curved) pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Corning gorilla glass 5 protection. Motorola has upped their battery game as well. The Edge 30 Ultra comes with a 4,610mAh battery that supports 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The -phone also supports 10W reverse wireless charging.

Coming to the selling point, which is the camera system, there's a 200-megapixel Samsung sensor on the back with OIS support. The primary camera is accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor that doubles as a macro camera. Lastly, there's a 12-megapixel portrait sensor. The primary camera supports 8K recording at 30fps, and the 60-megapixel front camera supports 4K recording.

Other key features of the Edge 30 Ultra include Wi-Fi 6e, dual-SIM cards, 5G, and NFC. It comes in Interstellar Black and Starlight White colours.

Motorola Edge 30 Fusion specifications

The Edge 30 Fusion is assured two years of OS updates. It gets a relatively smaller 6.5-inch curved display with similar specifications to the Edge 30 Ultra. The phone, however, gets a smaller 4,400mAh battery with only 68W wired charging. Its camera system includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a depth sensor.

On the front, there's a 32-megapixel camera. The primary rear camera can record 8K video as well.

Other key features on the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion include 5G, dual-SIM cards, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6e and NFC. It comes in Cosmic Grey and Solar Gold colours.
