Honda has awarded Tata Technologies a key end-to-end vehicle platform development program, marking the first time the Japanese automaker has entrusted such a project to an Indian engineering firm. The platform will support internal combustion engine (ICE), hybrid, and electric vehicle (EV) models, helping Honda reduce costs and speed up development. Following the announcement, Tata Technologies shares surged over 6.5%. Ambareesh Baliga, Market Analyst, said the deal is a significant positive for Tata Technologies after a prolonged period of underperformance since its IPO. He believes the stock remains a buying opportunity with a potential target of ₹1,100–1,150.
