People in Pakistan thronged for hours to grab their favourite coffee and pastries from the Canadian chain. But why should this make the news? As per its online menu, the cafe offers a small brewed coffee at 350 Pakistani rupees, while a large flavoured coffee costs twice as much. By comparison, the average government-mandated minimum wage is 25,000 Pak rupees a month. Tim Hortons is set to open another two outlets in Lahore... This reveals the economic disparity in Pakistan.
