With Inflation soaring high, prices of basic amenities skyrocketing And the IMF bailout getting delayed Pakistan is on the verge of bankruptcy. But this hasn't affected the lavish lifestyle of Pakistan's elite any bit. Tim Hortons, a famous Canadian restaurant chain, has opened its first outlet in Pakistan's Lahore this week. People in Pakistan thronged for hours to grab their favourite coffee and pastries from the Canadian chain. But why should this make the news? As per its online menu, the cafe offers a small brewed coffee at 350 Pakistani rupees, while a large flavoured coffee costs twice as much. By comparison, the average government-mandated minimum wage is 25,000 Pak rupees a month. Tim Hortons is set to open another two outlets in Lahore... This reveals the economic disparity in Pakistan.
