Petrol, diesel price raised on hike in dealers' commission

Oil marketing firms on Tuesday raised the price of petrol and diesel by 14 paise and 10 paise, respectively due to an increase in the dealers commission.

The hike will be effective from midnight tonight. The price hike comes three days after oil marketing firms raised petrol price by Rs 0.28 per litre and cut diesel price by 6 paise per litre citing current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and rupee dollar exchange rate.

Oil marketing firms decided the prices of petrol and diesel on fortnightly basis.
