Son of Sardaar collections pick up pace at box office

Son of Sardaar's box-office collections showed a strong improvement on Wednesday. According to early estimates, Son of Sardaar netted around Rs 14.5 crore on its second day of release, taking its overall collection to around Rs 23 crore in two days.

Son of Sardaar hit the screens on Tuesday, collecting around Rs 8.5 crore on its debut.

Starring Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Juhi Chawla, the film continued with its good showing in East Punjab, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Rajasthan regions.

In comparison, Jab Tak Hai Jaan's netted about Rs 19.5 crore on its second day of release.  In just two days, Jab Tak Hai Jaan has pulled in around Rs 32 crore at the box office.

Both the movies are expected to have a strong first week performance due to the extended weekend.
