Apple invite makes its clear, iPhone 5 to be unveiled on September 12

The new iPhone is just a week away. Apple on Tuesday sent out the invitations for the upcoming event that is scheduled for September 12 at 10 am P.S.T. The event that is expected to be launch of iPhone 5 will be held in San Francisco, USA

As popularly speculated, whether the new iPhone will be called as the iPhone 5 or something else, the invite makes everything clear. The invite shows the number 12 (that stands for the announcement date) with the shadow showing 5. This makes it clear that Apple is calling its next iPhone as the iPhone 5.

The event is likely to be an iPhone specific event and the smaller version of the iPad will be launched at a separate event in October.

Rumours and leaks indicated that the iPhone 5 will have a taller 4 inch display while everything else will shrink. It will also have a slot for nano-SIMs and a smaller 9-pin dock connector.
