MyHeritage app that brought the dead alive through its animations tool has now added more animations to its Deep Nostalgia feature. So now apart from blinking, the people in the picture can now dance and blow kissing using the new animations tool. The genealogy company garnered a mixed response from the users when it rolled out the Deep Nostalgia tool. The tool is used to animate old photos. The subject in the pictures starts moving when you apply the filters.
MyHeritage app, which can be downloaded from Google Play Store, Apple App Store, shot to instant fame within weeks. The people used the app to animate old pictures of their dead relatives mostly, public figures, and posted the pictures online. While some found the tool extremely creepy because it made the dead people move, some were happy to see their loved ones moving and smiling back at them. As per the app data, users have made over 72 million animations ever since the app was launched.
However, now more animations have been added to the Deep Nostalgia. Using the new animation features, you can make the people in your old photos dance and blow kisses. However, in order to use the feature, you will have to subscribe to the MyHeritage complete pack to unlock the new animation tools. The plan is priced at $299 and is $199 for the first year.
"Today, we're excited to announce that we have doubled the number of drivers. The 10 additional drivers released today, which we call special animations, allow you to see your ancestors express a wider spectrum of gestures and emotions, for example, smile wholeheartedly, blow a kiss, nod approval, and more. Now you can enjoy this even more, with the new special animations," the app said in a blog.
But if you do not wish to pay for the special features, you can continue using the basic features that the app comes with. Apart from animating the old pictures, the MyHeritage app can now match the profile of users with their ancestors. "With over 4.4 billion profiles added by our users, MyHeritage can easily match your information against others' to provide you with meaningful new information about your ancestors. Discover new relatives and enrich the details of your family story with," the app description read.
