Royal Enfield sales surge 59 per cent in August

Royal Enfield, the two-wheeler division of Eicher Motors, on Tuesday posted total sales of 42,360 units in August, up 58.99 per cent.

The iconic two-wheeler manufacturer had sold 26,643 units in August 2014, Royal Enfield said in a statement. Sales in the domestic market zoomed 59.25 per cent to 41,600 units, from 26,121 in the same month last year.

Exports during the month rose 45.59 per cent to 760 units compared with 522 in July 2014.
