

Hindustan Copper on Wednesday reportedmore than two-fold rise in its first quarter net profit at Rs 60.4 crore. The state-run firm had clocked Rs 26.2 crore net profit inthe corresponding quarter last fiscal, it said in a filing to the Bombay StockExchange (BSE).
Net sales of the company during the April-June quarter roseto Rs 269 crore from Rs 226 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 247.25 per share at theBSE today, down 0.92 per cent over the previous day's close.
