Cricketer Yuvraj Singh 's start-up fund YouWeCan Ventures has been making a number of investments recently. Singh, who is trying to find his place in the national team, however was the most expensive cricketer in Indian Premier League (IPL) this year.
The cricketer seems to be actively pursuing investments via YouWeCan. Below are the top three investments that his start-up fund made in the current financial year.
- YouWeCan invested an undisclosed amount in the education marketplace Edukart. The cricketer confirmed the investment made by his start-up fund company saying that he is excited to be a part of Edukart. The online distance education services portal on June 23 said that it raised a total of $1 million (Rs 6.4 crore) from YouWeCan, Holostik Group's United Finsec (family office arm), and 500 Startups.
- Days before making investments in Edukart, YouWeCan also invested in on-demand logistics booking platform Moovo, which provides for booking mini-trucks through mobile app, internet and call-centres.
- In April, the cricketer's YouWeCan had invested in Vyomo, a platform for beauty services. The mobile app helps beauty professionals to manage their business and also lets customers book their appointments.
