Chinese smartphone manufacturer has launched yet another smartphone in India, the OnePlus X. Priced at Rs 16,999, this is the most affordable smartphone from the company and will be available through the invite only model initially.
"The OnePlus X will be manufactured in India at the Foxconn facility in Andra Pradesh. However, the units available starting next week will be imported. The units manufactured in India will come to market by the end of this year", says Vikas Agarwal, General Manager - India, OnePlus.
The OnePlus X feature a 5inch full HD AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and will be paired with 3GB of RAM. It will run on Oxygen OS based on Android 5.1 and will have 16 GB internal storage with support for expandable memory.
This is a dual SIM smartphone where the secondary SIM slot bundles as the memory card slot too. It has got a 13 MP rear camera and 2525 mAh battery.
While the Onyx version is priced at Rs 16,999, OnePlus will also launch a ceramic edition which will be a limited edition (only 10,000 units) and will be priced at Rs 22,999.
OnePlus X will be available starting Nov 5 on Amazon.in through invite only at the moment. After a month, the company plans to host open sales once every week.
With the launch of OnePlus X, the company will discontinue its OnePlus One by the end of this year.
