Facebook to notify users of music events near them

Facebook has introduced a new subscribe button to the 'Events' section of all Pages wherein users will be notified of events being hosted by the Page in areas near them.

According to a TechCrunch report, the new feature can help music bands sell more tickets for concerts.

Local businesses, sports teams and others that run events or promotions will also benefit from the new feature.
