IT stocks rise on weaker rupee, cap Sensex loss
The BSE IT index rose 167 points or 1.66 per cent, amid a broad selloff in the market.

IT stocks rose on Tuesday, tracking a weak rupee , which fell to its 13-month low in early trade.
TCS and Infosys rose on the BSE by 3.40 per cent, and 0.69 per cent, respectively.
Stocks of HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra and Mindtree too rose 4.58 per cent, 1.51 per cent and 0.78 per cent, respectively.
The Sensex was down on global cues, 538 points lower at 26,781.
